Class III Camouflage Orthodontic Treatment in Adult Patient with Anterior Crossbite and Abnormal Functional Shift: A Case Report

Skeletal Class III malocclusion is a complex malformation with prevalence of 81.6% in Airlangga University Dental Hospital, distributed patients aged 15-45 years old. Camouflage treatment skeletal improves prognosis mild-to-moderate shift.This study aimed to discuss orthodontic camouflage as an option for adult malocclusion,emphasizing its indications, implications, and expected results.This report presents the case 17-year-old male patient poor facial aesthetics associated protrudedchin, abnormal functional shift, temporomandibular joint pain. The profile was concave loweranterior multiple diastemas, mandibular lip protrusion, displacement, anterior crossbite. This treated by therapy using straight wire appliance system combined elastic class III.After 24 months during pandemic, displacement crossbite were corrected, teeth arched, fixed, became convex.Camouflage can be effective management achieve occlusion, stability, satisfactory aesthetic impression mild moderate deformities, cross bite, shift.
